Referral Traffic – Does it really help for Internet Marketing?

Website’s online presence is strongly depending on the link structure of the website. Whatever traffic website gets, may be it comes from search engines or direct sources or referral traffic.

Search engine and direct traffic assured you for website ranking and votes i.e. back links but it might take time to finish all those SEO activities as it goes with step by step like main landing page (Homepage) - sub landing pages (About us, Contact us, Services pages) - Thank you pages. Search engines’ spiders roam from one link to another, so we can’t say when they will come to crawl our whole website.

 

Referral traffic is web traffic comes from the third sources like social bookmarking sites, forums posting, directory sites, networking sites to website instead of search engine and direct traffic. It enthusiastically increases the visits of website but not sure about back links part. Referral web traffic helps at the initial stage if the website is new and has fresh services and products which are ready to sell.

 

If you want to grow your business early on internet then I would recommend you to go with Referral traffic. By doing some Search engine optimization work and submitting website to different social bookmarking sites, directories, forums your website will get enough referral traffic. 

But the main feeble thing is, referral traffic increases the bounce rate of website which may be harmful for website ranking but if you have a sufficient visits then probably search engine will not consider your website’s bounce if your website is visitors rich and on user demand.
